| About five and a half years ago, I
discovered that I had a gift for writing poetry. Not really
taking it seriously, I was sitting down writing one evening and
five minutes later, I had a paragraph of some serious thoughts
that rhymed. Well after several people read the poem, they began
to request a copy of what is now known as Visions.
Then it came to me that I might have something here. Needless to
say, every time the urge hit, I just started writing until I
could create something that felt right to me. Most of the poems
I write, that take longer than ten minutes, are normally not
good. They become long drawn out paragraphs that lack substance.
It wasn't until February 2004, that I felt that I was writing
poems worthy of recognition. I, personally, attempt in my poems
to write to the emotions of my readers, preferably women. I also
like to write poems about situations that everyone experiences
in life, and in their relationships. Once you browse through my
poems, you'll see that my material touches all areas of life. I
hope that you enjoy the poems in my brand new book entitled New
Love, and I look forward to
stimulating your thoughts, while soothing your emotions with
many new poems that will be available in the future.
There are so many things that inspire me to write. Foremost
it is just acknowledging the gift that God has blessed me with,
and not allowing myself to lose it, because of not using it.
Relationships good or bad, are
always a form of inspiration. My biggest blessing is that I can
write from seeing things going on around me. For example, two
people arguing, or walking holding hands; a kiss in public
without embarrassment, helping someone that has fallen or
injured themselves, and I can go on forever. If I had to make a
recommendation to those individuals who are just beginning to
write poetry, I would say that whatever inspires you to write
immediately, salvage that inspiration, and use it to
continuously create new material. Following are samples from

Fortify your
palace
Your loveliness is what I seek
Just the thought of being with you
Causes my flesh to grow weak
Fortify your emotions
Your heart is my desire
Your erotic behavior
And your sexiness is what inspired
Me to lock away
your heart
And throw away the key
Now spend a romantic evening
Making love to me
For I am your conqueror
Just let me lock you away
And retrieve you like a genie
When it's time for us to play
I can no longer
control my feelings
I'm fighting with all my might
To stop myself from desiring you
But I'm the conqueror.... Right
I must fortify my emotions
I'm beginning to feel a little weak
But it's for your good loving
That I continue to sneak
I'm confused;
I'm drifting in and out of my emotions
But still I'm a conqueror, a powerful man
The mere fact of me falling in love with you
Wasn't part of the conquerors plan
My fortification is breaking down, and I don't know what to do
I never thought I would meet someone, that could overwhelm me
like you
A mighty warrior I am, and a man filled with strength and pride
Has allowed myself to become weak, instead of fortified
Confession
Like the beauty
of sunshine, you make my heart sing
As clear as the bluest skies, and the loveliness of spring
Peaceful as the sound of a pond, with shallow running water
You're built like a masterpiece, with everything in order
As you stare at me in awe, your brown eyes gaze into my soul
Knowing I possess the qualities, that a strong man should hold
For I will always love you, for an infinite amount of time
You've entered into the mysteries of my heart, and the corners
of my mind
And all through the storms, and the hard blowing wind
I'll seek refuge in your heart, way down within
I can't describe in words, all the things you mean to me
But your peace, and passion, and loving ways, fulfills my
fantasies
For you are a strong positive woman, with a heart filled with
gold
And we'll wrap ourselves around each other, and watch ourselves
grow old
God always answers our prayers, when our hearts are in the right
place
And me holding you so gently in my arms, is an example of His
good grace
Can I Just Cuddle Up With You
Can I just
cuddle up with you tonight
And treat you like a baby
Rub you down from head to toe
While kissing you gently maybe
Perhaps we can share a glass of wine
Or have a drink or two
While laying your head close to mine
If that's comfortable for you
Would you like for me to sing a song
We can dance the night away
Or make love to you all night long
Until the break of day
Can I just
cuddle up with you
And let our bodies generate heat
Or should we play around like lovers do
Until our connectors meet
Now if that happens, we weren't cuddling
We were really on a mission
But then again who wouldn't mind
Being placed in that position
I'm beginning to feel a little intimate
Are you feeling like that too
A little bit on the freaky side
If that's all right with you
Can I just
cuddle up with you
All weekend I will stay
Just wrapped all around you
Oh how I enjoy waking up this way
There's nothing wrong with cuddling
Folks should try it sometimes
It's a good way to be intimate
And a good way to unwind
So now that we've touched those spots
That cuddlers often do
I only have but one regret
I should have made love to you
God Answers Prayers
Sometimes
things aren't as they really seem
Like believing you saw a UFO, before waking up from a dream
But I've come to realize, that God exist somewhere out there
And although we can't see Him, it doesn't mean He isn't there
It just so
happened one day, after I requested a special prayer
Not expecting it to be granted, didn't think God really cared
My request was very specific, but God knew of my needs
After searching for many hours, I prayed that God would
supersede
At first it was
just a request, it hadn't seriously settled in my heart
But after my prayers became more frequent, I felt some changes
start
He searched for the person I requested, and sent loveliness
along with you
A lady that I love and respect, whose dreams I will make come
true
He took His
time but made it happen, when I least expected it to
And rejected those that were in my path, that hindered my love
for you
So I continued to pray for His Grace and approval, to keep you
in my life
And once He's ready, He'll join us together as husband and wife
There will be
obstacles to overcome, that will test our happiness
Pay it no mind, we are children of God, and He's blessing us
with this
I'll never again doubt His Power, or underestimate how much He
cares
If there's one thing that I've learned from this
It's that God Answers

I feel really fortunate to be blessed with the many
musical gifts God has provided me with.
They include the vibes, drums, piano, and keyboard. Early in
life I developed an interest for music. My neighbor had a band
that met three times a week. They allowed me to come over at a
very young age, which inspired me to become a percussionist.
Over the years, I've been working towards fine tuning my musical
gifts, only to find that the process is indefinite. Therefore,
